Barbara-Lee Dickson
Barbara-Lee Dickson is the Director of The Insurance Ladies and is an Authorised Financial Adviser, Insurance Specialist. She loves helping families and people in business to protect their financial security around any unexpected illness or injury. She specialises in working with women in business.
Her role is to ensure that you are not exposed to any unnecessary risk, while at the same time making sure you don’t pay more than you need to for your protection plans.
Her biggest piece of advice to you is to make sure you know the value of getting personalised advice from an Insurance Specialist. Products through direct and banking channels are often inferior and expensive and can often result in disappointment at claim time.
Once you become a client, Barbara-Lee is there to review your plan as your life changes and is definitely there for you at claim time. This is where the rubber hits the road and she is there to support and help you through this time.
Barbara-Lee loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. She enjoys walking and the occasional game of golf. The charity she supports is the Neurological Foundation. Her daughter suffered a serious head injury back in 2011 which sent her on a personal journey that no mother wants to take. Also her Dad suffered from Alzheimer’s which a dreadful cruel disease.

Her best achievements include getting a B Com degree whilst raising 3 sons, being placed 3rd in a National Speaking contest in Toastmasters and being married to the same man for nearly 50 years (she mentions she started very young!).
She loves all the domestic stuff – cooking & baking and spending time with family, gardening, reading and movies. She keeps fit with the gym twice a week and Tai Chi.
Jann’s main point of difference as a Success Coach is her unique combination of skills, knowledge and experience. She has been a business owner for 30 years, a CA accountant for 25 years and a Life Coaching Diploma for 7 years – She knows first-hand how hard it can be to have a successful business/career and still have a balanced life. She loves to help her clients with this stuff.
She is a volunteer mentor with NZ Business Mentors and she does a lot of voluntary work for Toastmasters. Together with her husband they sponsor 3 kids through Christian Children’s Fund and their businesses donate to the Cancer Society, City Mission along with many other local charities, and provide uniforms for SAS junior soccer teams.
She offers the following advice; “Coaching is fantastic for women in particular, as usually they feel they have to be able to know it all, do it all, and do it all alone. Coaching changes that, and can open up a whole new world for you. I provide constant support to assist you in clarifying your vision, setting and reaching your goals and holding you accountable so that you can achieve your big dreams and visions.”
